Curriculum Vita

Welcome to our Research Team webpage. I am Professor of Psychology and Coordinator of the EdS Graduate Program in School Psychology at Central Washington University. My current research focuses on various issues in the broad areas of school and educational psychology. I have published research in a number of areas, including evaluations of reading programs, epistemological beliefs among college students, gender-related issues in education, and team-based learning. My current research program includes studies in the areas of school psychology assessment and services for culturally and linguistically diverse students, multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS), and reading intervention. I have previously published in journals such as School Psychology Review, Contemporary School Psychology, Psychology of Men & Masculinity, Reading Psychology, Sex Roles, and The Trainer’s Forum. In addition to publishing I enjoy mentoring students working on their own research projects. Over the course of my academic career I have chaired over 20 graduate thesis projects as well as numerous undergraduate thesis and research projects.
